have been away from my desk for a few days, but I am
pleased to say that I have still been receiving
photographs, including this one from Paul Moar in
Lerwick. The green vessel is the Tideway
Rollingstone, a very modern and sophisticated rock
dumping ship, lying to seaward of the aggregate
delivery ship Fitnes, in Dales Voe an inlet to the
North of Lerwick. The Fitness is discharging
aggregates into the storage space of the rock
dumper. The black structure aft of its accommodation
is the storage for the delivery pipe, which combined
with DP and cameras can ensure that rock is
delivered to a precise spot on the seabed.
