Another picture from South America, where it all
seems to be happening, Maybe it always has. This
is the Skandi Vitoria said by STX to be the most
advanced multi-purpose vessel ever built in
Brazil. It is a PLSV, Pipe Laying Support
Vessel, based on the STX OSCV06 vessel type.
Well, there's no doubt that it's got some stuff
on there. They say it is to be capable of
operating in water depths of up to 3000 metres.
As an old mariner I can't help thinking that no
matter who you've got on there to deal with this
lot, the master remains responsible for it all.
