PICTURE OF THE DAY

Photographs of offshore support vessels in action in many parts of the world. 

Occasionally Mike Prendergast visits Singapore from Australia, and while there takes a tour round the harbour and takes photos of the ships at anchor, and sends us copies of the results. The star of this visit, in my opinion, is the Southern Ocean, photographed against a backdrop of an impending tropical storm. The Southern Ocean is a brand new IMR ship, formerly the Bourbon Oceanteam 104, and still owned by Bourbon. It is on hire to TSmarine, which is part of Fugro and operates in Australia.
