PICTURE OF THE DAY 2013

Photographs of offshore support vessels in action in many parts of the world. 

I don't mean to hog the Pic of the Day,  but I was researching the details of the Aiviq this morning and discovered that there are people interested in the details of the bridge equipment. Of course I have no idea what it has but I have featured a photo of the drivers position on a middle aged Norwegian anchor handler, the UT 722 Far Fosna. It has had a DP1 system fitted I think. The equipment left to right is more or less as follows - Intercom, three rudder controls port starboard and both, azimuthing thruster control, tunnel thruster controls, two screens for the DP1, Joystick/DP1 control, gyro repeater, VHF mike, VHF set, DP1 control, Joystick control, Joystick screen, Internal phone, two computer roller balls, two bulk tank presentations, computer keboard. Main engine controls, Various winch controls, Internal telephones. Picture taken from the seat which slides forward.
