PICTURE OF THE DAY 2015

Photographs of offshore support vessels in action in many parts of the world. 

The GSF Aleutian Key being towed by the Alp Ace in the direction of Turkish breakers. A lot of old stuff is on its way now, and one can see why. Back during a previous boom all these old rigs were "upgraded". This one had extra buoyancy added. You can see the blisters, this resulted in the extra weight preventing the pontoons getting out of the water, and in this case even the cross members are partially under water.

This feature - and the rest of the site has been off the internet for some time because I upgraded my Apple software and it deleted my virtual computer, including all of this stuff. It is getting back together but is taking time. STILL NOT SORTED!!.
