PICTURE OF THE DAY 2015

Photographs of offshore support vessels in action in many parts of the world. 

A  rare bird these days in Aberdeen, a Swire Pacific platform ship. We have probably not seen as Swires ship in the port since the UT720s departed to warmer climes, maybe back in about 2008. The Pacific Legend is a 10,000 bhp ship built in Japan last year. Later: As I archive this photo the ship is on its way to the Falklands - maybe with heavy equipment for the current drilling campaign.
