PICTURE OF THE DAY 2015

Photographs of offshore support vessels in action in many parts of the world. 

So from one old wreck - and thanks to everybody who told me it was was the Sartu Santubong - to something brand new and groundbreaking. This is the Ross Candies which is opn hire to Subsea7 to carry oiut IMR tasks in the Gulf of Mexico. It has a 'Huisman Tower' which is apparently installed to carry out 'deepwater deployment'. But most importantly it is Jones Act Compliant, in which it may be anticipating a more rigorous application of this legislation in the gulf. And really great to get another photo from American waters on the site. Much appreciated.
