ATLANTIC TOWING

Atlantic Towing are a Canadian company and their four UT722s were built in Halifax, initially most of them worked in the North Sea, but now (2009) they all seem to be working on the Atlantic margin offshore Canada. A master from Edda went over to Canada to help train the crews.

They have a single UT 755LN on order which will be delivered some time late in 2010.

At the 2012 review it can be seen that the former Asso Ventidue, one of the UT 722s built at Orskov, ans been added to the fleet, and now a VS anchor handler built by Jaya holdings had also been added. Our info is now slightly better than that available on the Atlantic Towing website.

At the 2014 review it was seen that Atlantic Towing had agreed to purchase the sister ship of the Atlantic Kestrel. It is due in the first quarter of 2014.

At the 2014 review it can be seen that Atlantic Towing is part of a group called J.D.Irviing. The company has gained another VS designed anchor handler and apparently a small AHTS standby vessel since the last review. Which was at the beginning of 2014. The website has changed a bit in the interim.
