VEGA OFFSHORE

This is another new company (in 2013) only visible to us because a photo was sent in of one of their ships in Brazil. They are apparently based in Norway with offices in Singapore, Poland and Brazil. They tell us they have an extensive newbuilding programme. It appears that in addition to the two ships in service they have a further five ships on order, however I have stopped adding newbuildings to the fleet list, since they are often more aspirational than actual.

Despite the Norwegian ownership I have assigned these ships to the South Atlantic fleet.

At the 2015 review the company webpage was less than informative, but at least three anchor-handlers built in China have been identified, and apparently there are four UT 755s under construction in China, due for delivery this year.
