PICTURE OF THE DAY 2012

Photographs of offshore support vessels in action in many parts of the world. 

Here is the latest addition to the Viking Offshore fleet, the Magne Viking with the Transocean Prospect in Invergordon. It's good to see an addition to the black and yellow striped fleet. This ship is the last of three built recently in Spain. Possibly the most famous Viking ship was the Ben Viking which was used in the film North Sea hijack in the 1970s. I include this because many people get the name of this ship wrong.
